Bus

The Val Thorens bus station, located at Place des Arolles, is open daily during the winter season.
It serves buses, taxis, and VTCs connecting to the Moûtiers Salins Brides-les-Bains train station as well as the airports of Chambéry, Grenoble, Lyon-Saint-Exupéry, and Geneva.
If your accommodation is not ready upon your arrival, you can take advantage of the luggage storage service available at the bus station, allowing you to explore the resort freely while waiting to check into your accommodation.

Car

Val Thorens is located near the town of Moûtiers in the Savoie department, in the Northern Alps. It takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes from Lyon, 1 hour and 50 minutes from Grenoble, and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Chambéry.
Once you arrive in Moûtiers, there are only 32 km of mountain road left to travel. The road is safe and regularly cleared in winter, but its important to equip your vehicle with appropriate snow gear, such as snow tires, chains, or snow socks.
Upon arriving at the resort, most accommodations have a drop-off zone nearby. Unload your luggage and then park your vehicle in one of the parking areas. Once you're in Val Thorens, you can leave your car parked throughout your stay, as the resort is semi-pedestrianized and restricts street parking during winter.

Moûtiers Salins Brides-les-Bains Train Station :
The Moûtiers Salins Brides-les-Bains train station is the closest to Val Thorens, located 37 km from the resort.

Altibus shuttles provide connections between the Moûtiers train station and Val Thorens. Dont forget to book your ticket online on the Altibus website.
You also have the option to take a taxi, a VTC, or rent a car to reach the resort.
