Our partnership with Mountain Riders
Discover our commitment to the association.
Who are they ?
Mountain Riders is an association focused on educating about the ecological transition in the mountains. They have taken on the challenge of eliminating waste in the mountains with the National Zero Wild Waste Charter by 2030.
They support territories in this change through the Flocon Vert (Green Snowflake) label.
They contribute to fostering a global and complex mindset, sparking curiosity, and encouraging debate on today's and tomorrow's environmental issues.
Our Concrete Actions
We raise awareness among our tenants, owners, and teams about the importance of environmental preservation in mountainous areas through various initiatives and tools:
- Integration of eco-friendly practices and zero-waste initiatives
- Participation in mutual events and workshops
- Communication campaigns through newsletters
- Development of an eco-friendly product (cleaning kit) with an eco-quiz
- Organization of waste collection operations for abandoned litter
Zero Wild Waste in the Mountains by 2030
Our collaboration is aligned with the "Purpose" of the Compagnie des Alpes group, of which we are a part, with strong commitments and concessions, such as:
- Achieving net zero carbon before 2030 and consequently developing initiatives to reduce emissions
- Seeking all solutions to optimize water resource usage in order to minimize the impact of its activities and avoid potential water use conflicts
- Continuing the development of measurement tools to contribute to generating biodiversity across all its activities
- Avoiding efforts to sustain ski areas when climate change makes parts of the terrain, especially at low altitudes, unskiable
- Proposing no net expansion of ski areas
Adopt 1 Spot
During the last cleanup, 2.52 kg of waste were collected, including 30.77% plastic, 30.77% manufactured wood, and 7.69% textile.
