LE CHEMIN DU VAZ - A FAMILY HIKE
An ideal trail for a walk with children, with a low positive elevation change of 60m and a short walking time of 40 minutes. On your way, you will discover the Moulins stream. Don't forget to bring your picnic to comfortably settle by the water's edge.
To access the trail, go to the former school in Châtelard and follow the signs towards "Vaz."
LE LAC SANS FOND
Head to the Hospice du Petit Saint-Bernard, located 6.5 km by car from the La Rosière Tourist Office. Once there, the start of the hike is located at the back of the hospice, following the direction of the bottomless lake through the switchbacks and marked trails.
Once you reach the top, admire the exceptional viewpoint over the Mont Blanc, Beaufortain, and Vanoise mountain ranges.
LE COL DE LANCEBRANLETTE
Instead of descending directly from the Bottomless Lake, you can turn right at the intersection towards the summit of Lancebranlette, located at an altitude of 2936m. This Franco-Italian route is very steep and strongly discouraged with children.
At the summit, the view is exceptional, both of the Mont Blanc, Grandes Jorasses, Lake Verney, as well as the Italian and Swiss Alps.
